Happy Easter!

Well, our Easter plans were a little different considering baby Allie had joined us early! We ended up doing some fun things at home like an egg hunt, brunch, and making a bunny cake. It was a beautiful day!

Let's bring the eggs home and see what's inside!

Allie's First Bath

A week after Allie was born her umbilical cord fell off, meaning we had the all clear to give her a bath at home! She was not a huge fan of it, as you can see from the pictures below! Overall though, she is a very content baby nursing every 3 hours and sleeping in between.

What is going on??

Is it over yet?

It's cold in here!

Daddy, how could you do this to me?

Surprise! She's Here!

Our little Allie decided she did not want to wait until her planned c-section April 28th to meet us! On Saturday night I started having what I thought were Braxton Hicks contractions, but as we sped off to the hospital at 4pm the next day I started to think this was the real thing! By the time we arrived I was 6 centimeters and progressing fast, and Allison Elizabeth Sewall was born just a few hours later naturally at 7:55 pm! Although she was only 36 weeks and 5 days, she was born healthy at 6 lbs and 3 oz, 19 inches long. We are all recovering and doing well, just learning to adjust to life as a family of 4. Here are the first of many pictures to come!

While Grandma visited last week she helped Lucas plant the flower box for our front window. Here are some pictures!

Weekend with Grandma and Papa

This past weekend my parents were in town on their way back to Rochester from Florida. We celebrated Steve's birthday a little early, and enjoyed some nice spring weather at Meadowlark Park. I can't believe that the next time they are here it will be to meet baby Allie!
