May Fun!

May has been a beautiful month here in Fairfax! We have been taking advantage of the nice weather. Here are some photos from our family time at Burke Lake Park, enjoying the water table with our neighbors, and our visit with cousin Gina!

Allie's Birth Announcement

I had designed Allison's birth announcement in Photoshop months before she arrived, and it was a good thing because she came early! I am in the process of sending out the announcements in batches as I am printing them off myself. Here is a sneak peak at the announcement plus some other photos I took that are sweet!

Belated Mother's Day

Last weekend Lucas was sick with a fever and we had a very low-key Mother's Day. Steve took over one of the late-night feedings and brought me home cheesecake while I watched a movie during nap time. Lucas greeted me with "Happy Mother's Day" which brought a smile to my face, and he bought me the letter "A" charm for my bracelet in honor of his new sister Allie. I also got some new iTunes to play in the van. This weekend we did a belated Mother's Day brunch at Artie's and everyone ate and had a great time!

Allie is One Month Old!

I can't believe how fast the time is going! Allie turned one month old this week. She is a growing girl! She gained over two pounds and now weighs 8 lbs 5 oz and is 21 1/4 inches long. I can believe it when I think of how well she is nursing! She eats every two to three hours during the day and is starting to go for four hour stretches at night. Although she can be a little more dramatic than her brother was, she is a very happy baby. She only cries when she is hungry or uncomfortable. I am able to take her to Lucas' Little Gym classes and out and about on errands with out any problems! I feel very lucky!

A Visit With Melanie, Anthony and Brayden

Today my friend and former co-worker Melanie came over to visit. Lucas and Anthony got to play together while Melanie and I got to have some chat time and snuggle time with the little ones. It was a great afternoon!

Allie Week Three

Steve had taken this past week off from work so we had some nice family time together. Allie tried out her activity mat and we had a visit from my friend Courtney and her daughter Emma who live in Atlanta. The week had its ups and downs as I figured out how to begin balancing a new routine, but all in all a good week!
