A Snowy Day in NY

This past weekend we made a quick trip to Rochester for the Boeckmann family Christmas party. We had snow on Saturday so Grandma and Papa took Lucas out to explore in the snow!

Allie turned 9 months old this week. My how the time flies! She is quite a happy baby, despite her recent cold. It kept both of us up at night for a straight week. :( At her checkup today she weighed in at 17 lbs 6 oz (24% percentile) and 28 inches long (66% percentile). She eats three meals a day and nurses four times a day. She picked up the pincher grasp much quicker than her brother, and really enjoys eating solids. She has had most fruits and vegetables, ham, turkey, chicken, cheese, yogurt, and a variety of grains. She loves to eat! She is crawling every where her brother goes and she can climb up stairs, especially if she can get to the shoes! She does stand at her play table, but is not quite ready to stand unsupported yet. She doesn't really love to nap (unfortunately for mommy!) but she will go down for an hour in the morning and an hour in the afternoon. She does, however, love to snuggle and will rest on my chest for an additional hour if I let her! Here is her 9 month picture!

Happy New Year!

We spent this New Year's Eve with the Walsh family having dinner at Jackson's with cake and fun to follow at our house. The kids were really interested this year, and especially liked the "poppers." We were happy to spend the holiday with our good friends!
