Lucas' Big Boy Bed!

With baby sister coming in April, we decided to make the transition to the big boy bed in March. We will be using Lucas' crib for Allie and I want him to get used to the new routine before she comes. He cried and took all the books off of his shelf at our first attempt during yesterday's nap time. I rubbed his back until he fell asleep and then he slept for 3 hours. Before the night came, Steve adjusted his book shelves so that he could no longer reach the books. After bath time that night he heard his story and was anxious to get into his new bed for prayers. He cried a little bit when mommy and daddy left the room, but I listened outside of his door to him say, "no more crying" and then he was asleep with his head on the pillow! This morning when I came to get him he was quietly playing with his toys from the shelf in his bed. I think the transition is going pretty well! Here are a few pictures.

Today Alison and I got to enjoy a sprinkle thrown by the Carriage Park mommies! Thank you so much to everyone who came to help us celebrate, and especially to Shauna and Catherine for hosting!

At the Park With Grandma and Papa

Grandma and Papa Parlato were here for the week while Steve was out of town on business. When he came back I wasn't feeling well, so the three of them to Lucas to the park. Here are some pictures of their fun!
