Neighborhood Halloween Parade 2010

This was our second annual Halloween Parade with the neighborhood. It was amazing how different it was for us! Last year I carried Lucas (the lion) in the Bjorn. This year he was grabbing snacks and walking in the parade himself! What one year can do!

Heather Hill Gardens

Today we went to Heather Hill Gardens with some of our friends. We seem to be visiting every pumpkin patch the area has to offer this year!

Burke Nursery Pumpkin Patch

On Friday we went to the Burke Nursery with our neighbors and friends Alison and Tristan. It was a crisp fall day and the boys had a lot of fun!

New Jersey and New Hampshire

Last weekend we took a little trip to visit the Andersens in New Jersey and the Sewalls in New Hampshire. My friend Jess just had a little boy, Joshua. He is so precious and it was so nice to see them! In New Hampshire we enjoyed spending time with family and visiting Apple Crest. It was a beautiful fall weekend!

Finger Painting

I realize I need to catch up on my blogging! These pictures of the finger painting party are from two weeks ago. We all went over to Erika's house and enjoyed some finger painting, Jello Jigglers (courtesy of Andrea) and play time. It was a great start to the fall, and it gave me my first piece of "fridge art"!

Baltimore Aquarium

Over the Labor Day weekend we took a family trip to the Baltimore Aquarium. It was a beautiful day and we started out with lunch at J. Paul's Seafood Restaurant. We had a great view of the water! At the aquarium Lucas really enjoyed walking around and looking at the animals. He especially liked the tubes with the bubbles :)

Hidden Oaks Nature Center

On Thursday, Lucas joined his friends Carter, Ewan and Anna at Hidden Oaks Nature Center in Annandale, VA. It is a place that I had taken First Graders to when I taught. It was a rainy day so we couldn't hike on any of the trails, but we enjoyed playing indoors!
